Guest Information

Longmeadow Country Club maintains a dress Code to provide direction for our Members and Guests regarding what is appropriate in each area of the club. The dress code is built on the premise that members and guests will exercise good judgement, respect tradition and be sensitive to fellow Club Members. It is expected that all Members and Guests will at all times be neatly attired in a manner appropriate in an upscale, casual environment.

Permitted Club Attire – Grill Room, 19th Hole, Patio and Tap Room, Living Room, Bermuda Room and Coach Room.

  • Casual attire for men and boys includes slacks (including denim) or Bermuda style shorts and a collared shirt. All shirts must be tucked in unless designed to be worn untucked.
  • Casual attire for woman and girls includes slacks (including denim), golf length shorts, skirts and golf shirts.
  • All attire (including Denim) must fit properly, be free of rips, stains, excess wear or fading and not expose undergarments. Denim slacks are allowed in the Grill Room, Tap Room, Living Room, Bermuda Room, Coach Room, Patio, Pool Area and Locker rooms.
  • Proper tennis attire is allowed in the Grille Room, but is not allowed in the front of the club.

Prohibited Club Attire

  • Gentlemen will remove their hats while indoors at LCC.
  • Denim of any kind is prohibited in these areas: Coach and Bermuda Dining Rooms, Golf Course, Putting Green, Driving Range, Tennis and Paddle Courts
  • Denim shorts, skirts, jackets and shirts are prohibited.
  • Cargo style shorts or slacks are prohibited.
  • Gym, hiking or very short shorts, tee shirts, sweat shirts, sweat pants or tank tops are prohibited.
  • Golf shoes are prohibited in the front of the club.

Golf Attire

All Longmeadow Country Club members and their guests must be dressed in appropriate golfing attire.
  • Gentlemen are to have their shirts tucked in at all times. The following items are considered inappropriate, and will not be permitted on either the golf course or on the practice range: tank-tops, t-shirts, jeans, cut-offs, tennis-length skirts, short shorts, flip flops, crocs, leather sandals (men only), cargo shorts/pants, and jogging attire.
  • Bermuda shorts are permitted for men and women; knee length is preferred for both men and women, not to exceed 3" above the knee; golf skorts and skirts not to exceed 4" above the knee.

Pool Attire

  • Pool attire is strictly limited to the immediate Pool area and is not acceptable in any other area of the Club grounds.

Cell Phone Policy

  • The use of Cellular Telephones is not permitted anywhere at Longmeadow Country Club, except in an automobile and the lounge areas of the Locker Rooms. Cell phones should be set to silent or vibrate.

Smoking Policy

  • Smoking is prohibited inside the Clubhouse and all outside dining areas.

Pace Of Play

  • Players should play without delay.
  • Players searching for a ball should signal the players behind them to pass as soon as it becomes apparent that the ball will not easily be found. They should not search for five minutes before doing so.
  • They should not continue play until the players following them have passed and are out of range.
  • When the play of a hole has been completed, players should immediately leave the putting green.
  • If a match fails to keep its place on the course and loses more than one clear hole on the players in front, it should invite the match following to pass.
  • All foursomes must complete an eighteen hole round in less than four hours, twosomes in less than three.
  • Players who habitually delay the play of others and thereby interfere with the enjoyment of others may be subject to sanctions with respect to the use of the golf course at the discretion of the Board of Governors.

  • Replace your divots and others carefully.
  • Make full use of available soil, often found on par-3 tees, at selected locations and in carts.

Ball Marks

  • Get in the habit of repairing your ball mark and one other on the putting green immediately -- even before marking your ball.
  • To repair a ball mark properly, bring the outer edges of the ball mark inward (not straight up). A divot tool works better than a tee.

  • Rake all bunkers completely and consistently, making for a smooth playing surface.
  • Leave rakes outside bunkers and far enough away so as not to interfere on the line of play.
  • Exit and enter a bunker from its low end (usually the side farthest from the hole), not from the high side.

Putting Greens

  • Line up your putts while others are putting, whenever possible.
  • Retrieve your ball from the hole with your hand, not your club.

  • Park golf carts at least 50' away from putting greens and greenside bunkers.
  • Park in the direction of the next teeing ground.
  • Observe RED-BLUE-GREEN cart systems at all times as designated.

Practice Range

  • Because safety of all members is the top priority, all balls hit on the practice range must land within the boundary fence at all times.
